"In Japan, we enjoy many Chinese-style (both authentic and Chinese-inspired) dishes home, and tobanjan is one of the essential items in many people's homes. I use it for mabo tofu, quick stir-fry, or sometimes just mix with some sesame oil to make a quick dipping for steamed food, etc. This tobanjan is made in Japan with the high quality ingredients, and it has the extra complexity with the heat."
