Hinoki Cypress Homemade Tofu Kit  

Experience the ancient traditional practice of creating fresh, homemade tofu with a Hinoki Cypress Tofu kit. Designed to make beautifully shaped tofu each time, the Hinoki Cypress tofu kit is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. The holes on the side allow for excess water to drain out while the tofu takes its shape. Tofu will take a whole new meaning from tasting the freshness of homemade tofu. 

*You will need soy milk and nigari liquid as ingredients for making tofu. Nigari liquid can be found at some Japanese markets and specialty stores.

Usage and Care

• Hand wash ONLY (not dishwasher safe) along the grain of the wood with water and a soft sponge
• Dry in shaded area before storing (rapid heat due to dish dryer or direct sunlight etc. will cause deformation)
• Because it is made of cypress, there may be some residual residue (this is hygienic and contains antimicrobial components). If you are concerned, you may wipe it off with vinegar diluted in hot water,
• Avoid soaking in water
• Avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight; product may discolor and/or warp
• Avoid using near exposed flame or electric stoves; items are flammable
