Cast Iron Trivet by Chushin Kobo (Yamagata, Japan)
Located in Yamagata Prefecture, a northern region of Japan's main island, Chushin Kobo, a traditional casting iron workshop founded in 1997, proposes universally designed items that fit modern lifestyle. Designed by Hisanori Masuda, these cast iron trivets are perfect examples where traditional Japanese casting skill meets modern design.
Available in two designs, the cast iron material makes these trivets naturally sturdy, and they are slightly elevated for better protection of the surface. The Four-Wave design is ideal for medium-size donabe, and Three-Wave design is ideal for small-size donabe or tea pot.
