This is a special limited edition tea, available only during the spring season. Cherry blossom, known as Sakura in Japanese, is a symbol of spring season in Japan and delicate flavors Sakura is enjoyed in both foods and drinks during the season. This tea is a special blend of top quality organic sencha tea leaves with dried wild blossoms of famous Sakura, Yae-zakura.
Each tin comes in a box printed with an artwork of Katsushika Hokusai (1760 - 1849), a famous Japanese artist of wood block prints called ukiyo-e, during Edo Period.
For the first brewing, the aroma of the wild Sakura gently comes out of the tea as its steeped. Then, you can enjoy the elegant sweet floral nuance of Sakura and soothing sencha as you sip. The second steeping will bring pleasant deeper flavor of sencha.
