Gifu and Mino-Yaki Pottery
Gifu is known and revered for its historic Mino-yaki pottery and this origins of this celebrated tradition can be traced back to the 7th century. Gifu is known for their donburi production, in fact, they are the region with the most donburi production in all of Japan, the donburi capitol being Dachi Town. They are so well known for their donburi bowls that Dachi Town hosts a donburi festival every year.
