Sandwich Guide - The Answer to All Sando and Egg Lovers’s Desire
This Sandwich Guide was indeed created for the very purpose of making a perfectly layered sandwich or “sando”. A renowned Tokyo-based product designer, Hiroshi Yamasaki of Yamasaki Design Works designed this cute and handy tool to answer to sandwich-obsessed people's desire.
When making a sandwich, especially when piling layers of different ingredients, the center tends to become higher and create uneven height. Also, spreading fillings to the very corners/ edges can be challenging. This Sandwich Guide solves such problems. Regardless of a single layer or multiple layers of fillings, this tool can help you make evenly spread fillings to upgrade your sandwich.
This durable tool can also used as a mold for fried eggs. You can make cute square fried eggs in a pan!
Packaged in a stylish and minimalist box, this is a fun tool with a simple yet sophisticated design. This can also make a unique gift for someone you care about.
(Comments by Naoko)
"I've been pretty obsessed with the Sandwich Guide ever since I first started using it. The best part is that this brings so much joy and even luxury to the ordinary sandwich making! Many caterers in Japan are also fans of the Sandwich Guide not only because this tool makes it easier and faster to make layered filling sandwiches but also minimize the use of plastic wraps. With this, you don’t need to wrap each sandwich tightly to keep the shape before slicing."
How to Use
Place the Sandwich Guide on a slice of sandwich bread (depending on the size of a slice, the Sandwich Guide can sit on top of a slice or a slice can fit inside of the Sandwich Guide). Place your choice of sandwich filling(s) all over evenly. Remove the Sandwich Guide carefully and place another slice of the bread on top or you can also enjoy open-style.
You can also use this as a mold for making square-shape fried eggs or omelet by simply use it on a sauté pan. The handle can get very hot, so make sure to use an oven mitt or appropriate protection when using the Sandwich Guide overheat.
