Naoko fell in love with this iconic double-lid donabe rice cooker, made by Nagatani-en, in Iga, Japan, and decided to introduce it to the US. What started as Naoko selling Kamado-san out of her home has now grown to a brick-and-mortar shop offering a wide variety of donabe, kitchenware, and tableware from all over Japan. Since then, Kamado-san has become a favorite among home cooks and professional chefs for making exceptional rice and a wide range of donabe dishes.
As we look forward, we hope to carry the same passion that brought us from such humble beginnings and continue spreading the spirit of Happy Donabe Life.
