Donabe cooking session in Washington DC! I had such a pleasure and honor to be invited to give a donabe cooking presentation, hosted by the Embassy of Japan, for the leading chefs and professionals from some of the top restaurants in DC on February 12. I had a great time! It was really wonderful to meet them in person. They brought great energy and inspired me so much.
I demonstrated two donabe dishes: Mixed Mushroom Rice - vegan dish, made in our Double-lid Donabe Rice Cooker, Kamado-san, and Ishikari Nabe (Salmon and Pork Berry Hot Pot in Miso Broth) made in a Classic-style Donabe, Shiro-Yu. Here are some of the photos from the event.
