Hand-Crafted Bamboo Full-Hand Chasen

Made from a single stalk of winter hardened bamboo in Nara, Japan, this chasen is a perfect marriage of craftmanship and functionality. The specific technique, "fingertip art", used to make this chasen is now only practiced by a few remaining guilds. The longer handle makes for an easier grip which makes for easier whisking. The number of prongs was also carefully considered and is suitable for both usucha and koicha preparations. The chasen is accompanied by a small, elegant bamboo stand. The sleek and narrow design allows you to create your favorite matcha beverage in almost any cup, mug, or glass and also makes it travel-friendly. Perfect as an accompaniment to the Cloud Glass Chawan.

Usage and Care

• Remove the stand from the whisk prior to use.
• After each use rinse with cold water and set to dry in a well ventilated area.
• This product is not microwave-safe. This product should not be set over direct heat. 
• This product is not dishwasher-safe. Hand wash only.
