Made from 100% Hiroshima Oysters with No Artificial Flavors or Preservatives 

This oyster sauce is made using only Hiroshima-grown oysters and salt. The oysters are gently simmered, and their cooking liquid is slowly concentrated to draw out deep, natural umami—without sugar, soy sauce, or any added seasonings. Finding an oyster sauce without sugar is surprisingly difficult, as many rely on sweetness to enhance flavor. This one does not. It delivers the true essence of oyster, rich and savory, exactly as it is.

Because it is a pure oyster extract, a small amount is all you need. Produced by Hiroshima Gyoren, a cooperative representing oyster producers across Hiroshima Prefecture, this sauce reflects generations of expertise in oyster cultivation. Using only locally harvested oysters and minimal processing, Gyoren focuses on preserving the natural character of the ingredient. By eliminating additives entirely, they honor the oyster’s inherent umami and Hiroshima’s long-standing oyster culture.
