
Last week, Naoko was honored to be invited by Suntory to lead a special donabe cooking workshop for LA’s hospitality professionals as part of the Suntory DOJO program.
The class featured two donabe dishes: Umeboshi Corn & Hijiki Rice and Ishikari Nabe (Salmon and Pork Hot Pot in Miso Broth). For the Ishikari Nabe, each group prepared their own donabe, and it was a joy to see everyone enjoying it so much that the pots were nearly emptied at the end.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of donabe cooking with such a passionate group. We thank Suntory DOJO for inviting Naoko and for creating such a meaningful event that connects people through food and culture.
