My first donabe cooking events in Hawaii!
The Simply Donabe cooking classes with CookSpace Hawai‘i at Ala Moana Macy’s Ala Moana were so much fun.
I hosted two hands-on classes with such a wonderful group of local cooking enthusiasts (and one guest who flew all the way from Canada!), featuring recipes from my new cookbook, Simply Donabe.
Hawai‘i has been a special place for me since I was a teenager. The people have always been so kind and welcoming, like family. Being able to share donabe cooking there felt very meaningful—like coming full circle.
Thank you so much to all the guests who came to the events. And, thank you so much to Melanie, Megan, Lyn and the entire team of Cookbook Hawai’i for kindly inviting me and making it happen.
