Event Report: Omiso Miso Making Workshop

We were so happy to welcome back Ai Fujimoto from Omiso for a special miso making workshop at TOIRO. 

Ai guided us through the wonderful world of miso and its many varieties, flavors, as well as the craft behind making it. We got our hands on the process ourselves, making miso from scratch together as a group.

To close out the workshop, we sat down to a beautiful light meal inspired by recipes from the Simply Donabe cookbook by Naoko, including Miso-Marinated Tofu, Carrot and Wakame Rice, and Green Beans in Walnut Miso Cream. It was the perfect way to taste miso in its most delicious, nourishing form.

We are so grateful to Ai for sharing her knowledge and passion with us. Events like this are exactly what we love about TOIRO: bringing people together through food, learning, and community.
