Last week, Naoko hosted her first livestream donabe cooking class in collaboration with Milk Street, the culinary platform founded by Christopher Kimball.
More than 200 people signed up to join the class (both live and recorded), creating a wonderful online gathering of people curious about donabe cooking.
During the 75-minute session, Naoko demonstrated how to prepare three dishes from her new cookbook Simply Donabe, along with the fundamentals of making dashi. The class offered a glimpse into her everyday approach to donabe cooking — simple techniques, balanced flavors, and nourishing one-pot meals.
