I’m beyond excited to announce the Simply Donabe Limited Edition Kamado-san — a special collaboration with Nagatani-en in Iga to celebrate my new cookbook, Simply Donabe.For this limited edition, we developed a special glaze together — a soft gray with a hint of green and natural speckling. Each piece is unique, and its wabi-sabi character blends naturally into any kitchen, bringing comfort to everyday cooking. You can also find a “Simply Donabe” logo stamp inside the lid. It took many months of testing until it felt right.
This donabe is extremely versatile. The double-lid design cooks up to 3 rice-cups of rice to perfection, and you can also enjoy soups, stews, hot pot, braising, oven cooking, and more.
With nearly 200 years of craftsmanship behind Nagatani-en, this project feels very meaningful to me.
