Yamacoh Co.

Since 1972, Yamacoh Co. has sought to achieve unity between Japanese beauty and function. The Japanese word, youbi, translates to “functional beauty,” where the essential beauty of something is revealed through functional use.

Yamacoh woodenware products are made using Japanese woods such as Hinoki and Sawara (types of Japanese Cypress). The wood is known for its delicate lines and smooth surface. In the hands of skilled craftspeople, beauty and function come together.

Wooden Tokoroten Cutter

Make and enjoy your own summer treat using the Wooden Tokoroten Noodle Cutter. Tokoroten is a traditional Japanese seasonal treat that dates back to the Nara period. It is made from boiled Tengusa  (red algae) which is then cut into noodles. Typically, Tokoroten is served with kuromitsu (sweet molasses) or soy sauce and vinegar. Use the Wooden Tokoroten Cutter for an experience that is as memorable and enjoyable, as it is authentically Japanese.
