Iwamoto Kiyoshi Shouten is a family-run producer located in Kanazawa City in Ishikawa Prefecture. Founded in 1913 and specializes in hand-crafting useful and artistic household items from the wood of the Paulownia tree. This family of artisans continue to explore the beauty of this natural wood and use a special charring technique, which gives their creations a special warmth, look, and texture.

This square coaster has a simple and sleek design with their log embossed in the back side. The size is not only good as a coaster for a glass/ cup, but this can also be used to place a bottle or as a small tray to serve a little treat like cookies or pastries.

Usage and Care
