Join this special workshop, all about matcha! TOIRO is excited to welcome Ms. Tomoko Imade Dyen, a trained Japanese tea expert and culinary curator, for an immersive matcha experience.

In this workshop, you will delve into the fascinating story of matcha and Japanese green tea. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how to make and enjoy matcha daily. The event includes a delightful tasting session featuring matcha and Japanese tea drinks, complemented by a donabe rice dish prepared by Naoko and delectable tea snacks. As a special gift, participants will take home a Traditional Chasen Matcha Whisk and Matsu Matcha (total value $49) along with other surprises. The workshop will include:

About the Instructor: Tomoko Imade

Tomoko is the creative mind behind Culinary Curation, a boutique consultancy specializing in producing Japanese culinary events, marketing, and PR. With a childhood spent eagerly exploring her grandparents kitchen at their hotel, she developed a passion for food that blossomed further upon relocating to the United States. Now based in Los Angeles, she seamlessly blends Japanese and American culinary traditions, fostering cultural connections through food experiences. Fascinated by tea as a gateway to Japanese culinary culture, Tomoko deepens expertise through ongoing study with the Omotesanke of Southern California and frequent visits to Japan.

Parking: Street parking - should not be very hard to find on Sunday but we suggest you give yourself enough time to arrive.

Cancellation Policy:
We are unable to offer refund or credit for cancellation with no exception. You can transfer your reservation to another person, and in this case, please notify us the person’s name and contact information up to 48 hours prior to the event start time.

As a condition to participate in the event, each participant is required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to the event’s start.
