This meticulously constructed bamboo miso strainer is hand-woven in Niigata prefecture. Carefully splitting Madake (Japanese timber bamboo) to create a tightly woven shape makes this strainer highly effective not only for miso, but a convenient strainer for small amount of blanched vegetables, noodles, etc. With its warm nostalgic look, this handy and light weight strainer can also work as a serving bowl for foods like boiled edamame in shells, crackers, etc. in your dining.
